The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the plenary and verbally inspired word of God and as such every word of the text came to us from God and is in fact “God breathed”. We believe that the inspired text was preserved and came down to us through the Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the various editions of the Textus Receptus of the New Testament and from there it was preserved in the various editions of the reformation Bibles until it came into its final form in the English text of the King James Bible (1611). The King James Bible is perfect and without error as to its form and text. We further believe in the perspicuity and sufficiency of the King James Bible, and it is God’s final and complete revelation to man of Himself. It is a closed canon and as such is all that is needed to form sound doctrine and equip one to live for and serve God. We are instructed to both read and study the Holy Scriptures on a regular basis for our learning and growth in the Lord. Finally, we reject all new versions of the Bible as being perverted, flawed, and utterly corrupt. These new Bible versions use inferior manuscripts and methods to translate and as such cannot be supported by any true Bible Believer. We define the canon of the Holy Scriptures as the 66 books of the Authorized Text. They are as follows: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 john, 2 John, 3 John, Jude, Revelation. These books constitute the full and complete canon. (Psalm 12:6-7, Psalm 119:57, 74, 89, 105, 130, 140, Joshua 1:8, Deuteronomy 4:2, Deuteronomy 12:32, Proverbs 30:5-6, Jeremiah 23:18, 22, 28-30, 36, Jeremiah 26:2, Revelation 22:19, Matthew 24:35, John 14:23, John 17:17, 2 Corinthians 2:17, 2 Timothy 3:15-16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 1 Timothy 4:13, John 8:31)

The local church and its mission

Our mission statement as a local Bible believing church is plain and simple; we are out to win souls for our Lord Jesus Christ and proclaim the whole council of God from cover to cover in the King James Bible and defend it against all heresy, both modern and ancient. We are a Bible Believing Independent Baptist (Anabaptist) Church and by that we mean the following things:

1. “Bible Believing” meaning we believe every single word God gave us in the King James Bible of the Protestant Reformation and we will defend it against all critics both secular and religious.

2. “Independent” not to do as we please but to do as God pleases as He has given us instruction in His Word without any interference from conferences etc. We are unaffiliated meaning we do not belong to any association, convention, or organization. We promote and emphasize the local church where the local Pastor is the Bishop and Christ Jesus is the Head and the King James Bible is our final authority. We receive our marching orders from God alone.

3. “Baptist” not as in the denomination but as in the practice of Baptist Doctrine as it was originally handed down through the apostles and found in the Holy Scriptures. The term “Anabaptist” means to re-baptize those who have formally been improperly baptized. We as Anabaptist believe that only upon one’s profession of faith in Christ and trusting Him alone for Salvation can one become a candidate for water baptism. We are not Protestants because we did not come out of the Roman Catholic Church. We as a group existed long before Romanism got it’s foothold into Christianity. We were known by various names in the past, Anabaptist being one of them. This term we use to identify ourselves today. We never were a part of the Roman Catholic Church as a group and never will be. We are fundamentalists as well in that we believe all the fundamentals of the Faith, which include the verbally plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, the literal account of creation given in Genesis, the virgin birth of Christ, His sinless life, His blood atonement, His bodily resurrection, and ascension as well as His imminent return. We do not however stop there. For the Holy Scriptures do not stop there. We believe every word God said in the Holy Scriptures and we are commanded by Him to study to show ourselves approved and to rightly divide the Word of truth. This we shall do!

The Godhead

We believe that the Holy Scriptures teach that there is only one true and living God Who created all things by His holy word and power and that within this Divine Godhead there are three distinct and divine persons who are co-equal and co-eternal and share the same divine nature. They are identified in the Holy Scriptures as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. These three have eternally existedwithout beginning and comprise the one being called God Who shall have no end.Jesus Christ is the only person of the Godhead who was manifested in the flesh to die for our sins and when we get to Heaven Jesus Christ is the only person of the Godhead Who we will physically see as to form and shape. In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and as such He is the perfect image of God. The Father loves the Son, the Son reveals the Father, and the Holy Ghost glorifies the Son. This is the operation of the Godhead. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 John 5:7, John 14:6-11, John 13:31-32, John 16:13-15, John 17:3-5, John 3:35, Luke 10:22, 1 Timothy 3:16, Colossians 1:15, Colossians 2:2,9, Revelation 21:1-7 Hebrews 1:1-3, John 1:18)

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was born of a miraculous virgin birth having no human father aiding in His birth but was conceived by the Holy Ghost. He is God manifest in the flesh. As to His divine nature truly the eternal God and as to His human nature truly a man. As the only begotten Son of God, He lived a perfect and sinless life here on earth and as such He is the spotless Lamb of God and became the one true eternal sacrifice to pay for our sins by His efficacious death. In His veins flowed the blood of God Almighty required to redeem us to God. This blood was shed at Calvary on the cross when Christ Jesus laid down His life for us to save us and bring us back into a right relationship with God through Him. Our redemption was bought and paid for by the precious blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and this is the means by which we are justified before God. On the third day after being crucified our Lord Jesus Christ rose physically from the dead and went back to Heaven to sit at the Father’s right hand victorious and triumphant and is now making intercession for the saints who are in Christ. He is the only mediator between God and man. (Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6-7, Micah 5:1-2, Matthew 1:18-25, John 1:1-5, 9-14, 2 Corinthians 5:19, 21, 1 Corinthians 15: 3-8, 47, 1 Timothy 2:5-6, Acts 20:28, 1 Timothy 3:16, Titus 2:13, Colossians 1:14-22, Colossians 2:2, 9, Philippians 2:6-11, 1 Corinthians 3:11, 1 Corinthians 12:3, 2 Corinthians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 2:8, Revelation 1:8, 1 John 5:20, Mark 16:19, Hebrews 1:1-12, Hebrews 9:11-15, 24-28, Hebrews 10:10-14)

The Holy Ghost

We believe the Holy Ghost is the third person of the eternal Godhead and as such is to be worshipped. He is not an impersonal force but rather is indeed God AlmightyHimself. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. The Holy Ghost regenerates and baptizes all true believers into the body of Christ indwelling them and sealing them unto the day of redemption the moment they put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation by relying on His atoning work on the cross. It is the Holy Ghost who leads and guides believers into all truth and that truth is found in the Lord Jesus Christ and the word of God. The Holy Ghost does not speak of Himself but exalts and points us to Christ Jesus. The Holy Ghost fills believers and as a result causes believers to be bold witnesses and soul winners for God. The Holy Ghost produces fruit in the life of all true believers helping them to live a victorious life for the Lord. True believers produce fruit as the result of being filled with the Holy Ghost. This fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. This fruit should be evident in all true believers in Christ because a tree is known by the fruit it bears. The Holy Scriptures teaches that every believer in Christ is to bear fruit for the Lord in both their personal walk as well as in their public ministry. This fruit is manifested in the lives of those who yield to the inner workings of the Holy Ghost and as a result are filled with the Spirit in their daily walk with the Lord. We believe the Holy Ghost bestows spiritual gifts to the Church and these gifts fall into two categories. The first category is known as the apostolic sign gifts. These are the gifts of healing, the working of miracles, the gift of tongues, the gift of interpretation of tongues, the gift of prophecy(foretelling the future), the office of the prophet and the office of the Apostle. and were temporarily given in the early stages of the Church in its founding work and these sign gifts were also uniquely given for the benefit of Israel because the Jews require a sign, and the nation of Israel began with signs. God set up the specific office of the Apostle to perform these sign gifts to Israel and for the founding stages of the Church. The Apostles also were responsible for the unique work of writing the Holy Scriptures of the New Testament canon under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost to safeguard the work of the Church, her practices, and her doctrines. These Apostles were appointed by Jesus Christ Himself, and they were all Jewish males. When the Holy Scriptures were completed, and God ceased to deal with Israel as a nationtemporarily due to their rejection of Jesus Christ as their Messiah and the offer of the Kingdom being rejected these apostolic sign gifts ceased to operate and the unique office of the Apostle ceased to operate in the church as well. These gifts will resume again during the Tribulation period when God turns back to Israel and begins to deal with them as a nation again. The second category of gifts are those which are still operating in the Church today and are distributed as the Holy Ghost wills and used for the edification of the Church. These gifts include prophecy(forth telling proclaiming what the Holy Scriptures have already foretold), ministry (includes pastors, teachers, and evangelists), teaching, exhortation, giving, ruling, shewing mercy, the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, the gift of faith, and discerning of spirits. All do not operate in the same gifts and should pray for those gifts that will edify the Body of Christ. (John 16:8-11, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12, 2 Corinthians 3:6, Ephesians 1:13-14, 17-18, Ephesians 5:18, 1 John 2:20, 27, Romans 12:3-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 28, Ephesians 4:7-12, 2 Corinthians 12:12, 1 Corinthians 14:22, 1 Corinthians 1:22, 2 Corinthians 11:12-13, 3 John 9, 1 John 1:1-2, 1 Corinthians 9:1, 1 Corinthians 15:7-8, Acts 1:21-22, Galatians 2:8, Galatians 1:11-12, 1 Timothy 1:1, Revelation 2:2-3, 1 Corinthians 13, Mark 16:14-21, Galatians 5:22-26, Ephesians 4:7-13)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is dispensational in nature and as such depending on which dispensation one is in will depend on how that person is saved. During the church age one is saved by believing the gospel of the grace of God revealed to Paul the Apostle. The Holy Scriptures define it as Christ dying for our sins, beingburied, and then on the third day He rose again according to the Holy Scriptures. When one places their full and complete trust in the finished atoning work of the cross of Christ and accept the Lord Jesus as the full payment for their sins rejecting their own righteousness and accepting His instead, they are at that momentconverted to Christ and belong to Him from that time forward being eternally secure by the power of God. One who is truly Born Again can never lose their salvation because it is Christ Himself who keeps them by His own power. At conversion a person is spiritually circumcised by God and their old sinful bodies are cut lose from the new inner man that has be recreated in the image of Jesus Christ making him free never to be contaminated by the sinful flesh again making him perfect in Christ. When a person places their trust and faith in the completed atoning work of Christ the precious blood of Christ is applied to them, and they are forever justified by His blood. Once this happens the Holy Ghost comes to reside inside of them, and they are then sealed with His Spirit until the Day of Redemption when they receive their new glorified bodies. One is never to use their Christian liberty after salvation as an occasion to the flesh but rather stay in constant fellowship with the Lord by confessing their sins and shortcomings when they occur. Those saints who refuse to do this face the chastisement of the Lordhere in the flesh. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Acts 16:30-31, Romans 5:1-10, John 1:12, Ephesians 1:3-14, Ephesians 2:8-10, 1 Peter 1:18-25, John 6:37-40, John 10:27-30,Romans 8:16-39, 1 Corinthians 1:4-8, 1 Peter 1:4-5 Romans 13:13-14, Galatians 5:13, Titus 2:11-15, Romans 10:8-13, 17, John 3:36, John 5:24, John 3:18, 36, Hebrews 12:5-11, 1 Corinthians 11:31-32, 1 John 5:13, Romans 3:24-28, Romans 6:1-7, 23, Philippians 3:20-21, Colossians 2:10-15, Romans 2:28-29, Ephesians 4:30, Romans 8:1-4, 1 John 3:1-3, 1 Corinthians 1:18, Romans 1:16-17)

Heaven

We believe that those who by faith have received Christ Jesus the Lord as their Saviour are born again and destined for Heaven. Their destination is fixed and cannot be undone. Heaven is a real literal place and New Jerusalem is located there. Jesus promised that he was going to prepare a place for us and would come again to receive us into this heavenly abode.  It is called among other things Paradise. Words can never describe or explain its spectacular beauty and splendor!(John 14:1-4, Luke 23:43, 1 Corinthians 2:9-16, 2 Corinthians 12:1-4, 2 Corinthians 5:6-8, Philippians 1:23, Galatians 4:26, 2 Timothy 4:18, Hebrews 11:10,16, Hebrews 12:22-23, Revelation 2:7, Revelation 4, Revelation 5, Revelation 11:19, Revelation 21:9-27, revelation 22:1-17)

Hell

We believe that those who reject Jesus Christ and the Gospel of the grace of God will upon final rejection at death lift their eyes in Hell. They will in fact lose their souls and take on the image of their father the devil and become a fiery worm like entity. Those who go there are condemned forever, never to be given the opportunity to repent again. At the final judgement those in Hell will be taken out to stand before the Great Judge and be given final judgement for their sins and then be cast into the Lake of Fire forever. This too is a literal place with literal torments. Those who go there will burn for eternity. (Luke 16:19-31, Deuteronomy 32:22, Jobs 26:6, Psalm 9:17, Proverbs 27:20, Isaiah 5:14, Isaiah 14:15, Ezekiel 31:16-17, Matthew 5:22, 29-30, Matthew 10:28, Matthew 18:9, Matthew 23:33, 2 Peter 2:4, Revelation 20:13-14)

Satan and Fallen Angels

We believe that Satan, also known as Lucifer, is revealed in the Holy Scriptures as the anointed Cherub who was created by God and held a high position in Heaven. The Bible tells us due to his beauty and exalted position pride entered his being and iniquity was birthed at that moment. As a result, Satan fell and took with him other angels who became known as devils. These fallen spirits are at work in the Earth today deceiving poor lost souls and preventing them from receiving the Truth. Satan is further at work accusing the brethren day and night before God. Satan and his angels are also at work trying to prevent the work of God from going forth and it is our responsibility as believers to resist him and the devils he sends our way and we are to put on the whole armor of God so we can stand against the wiles of the devil. At the final Judgment Satan and the fallen angels will be cast into the Lake of Fire. (Isaiah 14:12-17, Ezekiel 28:12-19, Luke 10:18, Job 1:6-12, 1 Chronicles 21:1, Job 2:1-7, Zechariah 3:1-2, Matthew 4:1-11, Luke 13:16, Luke 22:3, 31, Acts 26:18, Romans 16:20, 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, 2 Corinthians 12:7, 1 Thessalonians 2:18, 2 Thessalonians 2:8-10, Revelation 12:7-13, Revelation 20:1-10, Ephesians 4:27, Ephesians 6:10-19, Hebrews 2:14, James 4:7, 1 Peter 5:8, 1 John 3:8, Jude 9, Revelation 16:14, Mark 16:15-16)

The Rapture and the Day of the Lord

We believe that the Holy Scriptures teach the personal, physical, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ in the air who will rapture His Church the Body of Christ prior to the tribulation period also known as the time of Jacob’s trouble. At the Rapture the saints will receive their glorified bodies. When the Church is raptured, she will also appear before the Judgement Seat of Christ to be judged according to her works done in the body and receive rewards accordingly. At the end of the of the tribulation period Christ will return with His saints and land on the ground in Edom and march up the King’s Highway rescuing the Jewish remnant in Sela/Petra from the armies of the Antichrist and destroying everyone in His path. This is referred to as The Day of The Lord. Upon entering Jerusalem, He will sit upon the throne of David ushering in the Millennial reign of Christ here on earth. The Messianic kingdom which was promised to Israel will be finally established with Christ ruling over them as their King. (Psalm 89:3-4, Daniel 2:32-45, Zechariah 14:4-11, 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, 2 Thessalonians 2, Titus 2:13, Revelation 3:10, Revelation 19:11-16, Revelation 20:1-6, 1 Corinthians 15, Matthew 24, Matthew 25, Isaiah 63:1-6, Joel 2:1-11, Jeremiah 25:30-33, Jeremiah 46:10, Habakkuk 3, Jeremiah 23:3-8,19-20, Jeremiah 30, Zechariah 10-13, Isaiah 65-66, Isaiah 2, Isaiah 11, Psalm 2, Nahum 1, Deuteronomy 33:1-5, Judges 5, Psalm 68, Isaiah 9:6-7)

The Local Church and its Mission

Our mission statement as a local bible believing church is plain and simple; we are out to win souls for our Lord Jesus Christ and proclaim the whole council of God from cover to cover in the King James Bible and defend it against all heresy, both modern and ancient. We are a Bible Believing Independent Baptist Church and by that we mean the following things:

1. “Bible Believing” meaning we believe every single word God gave us in the King James Bible of the Protestant Reformation and we will defend it against all critics both secular and religious.

2. “Independent” not to do as we please but to do as God pleases as He has given us instruction in His Word. We are unaffiliated meaning we do not belong to any association, convention or organization. We promote and emphasize the local church where the local Pastor is the Bishop and Christ is the Head and the King James Bible is our final authority. We receive our marching orders from God alone.

3. “Baptist” not as in the denomination but as in the practice of Baptist Doctrine found in the Bible. Baptist comes from the Anabaptists who re-baptized those who had been improperly baptized. We as Baptists believe that only upon one’s profession of faith in Christ and trusting Him alone for Salvation can one become a candidate for Baptism. We are not Protestants because we did not come out of the Roman Catholic Church. We existed long before Romanism got it’s foothold in Christianity. We were known by various names, Anabaptist being one of them. We never were a part of the Roman Catholic Church, and never will be. We are fundamentalists in that we believe in all the fundamentals of the Faith, which include the verbally plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, the literal account of creation in Genesis, the virgin birth of Christ, His sinless life, His blood atonement, His bodily resurrection/ascension and His imminent return. We do not however stop there. We believe every word God said in the Holy Scriptures and we are commanded by Him to study to show ourselves approved and to rightly divide the Word of truth. This we shall do!

Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism is an ongoing ordinance of the Church and as such is to be performed by immersion in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. In special circumstances where water is limited or if the candidate has medical limitations, one may be baptized by having water poured over their head three times with the words of the commission being pronounced. We reject sprinkling as being an invalid baptism as well as infant baptisms. We further reject all heretical baptisms as being invalid requiring a rebaptism of the candidate. Only those who have been Born Again are proper candidates for water baptism. Only the local Bishop should perform the baptism or in special cases where he cannot perform said ordinance due to illness or being absent those persons, he commissions (examples include the elders under the bishop’s leadership or deacons he has commissioned) may do so. While water baptism does not save a person we are commanded to be baptized after conversion and for that reason we should baptize a convert as soon as possible after their conversion in obedience to the Lord. This type of baptism pictures the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:41, Acts 8:12, 35-39, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 16:14-15, 32-33, Acts 18:8, 1Corinthians 1:11-17)

The Lord’s Supper

We believe the Lord before leaving this earth at the first advent instituted an ongoing ordinance before He was crucified called in the Holy Scriptures as the Lord’s Supper (It is also referred to at other times by the faithful as holy communion, the eucharist or thanksgiving meal, the Lord’s table, and the breaking of bread). When we come together to worship, we are commanded to do this meal until the Lord comes showing His death. This is the New Testament practice and example. Only Born-Again Christians who have followed the Lord in baptism are allowed to come to the Lord’s Table and partake of this thanksgiving meal. Those deemed unworthy are not allowed to partake because they bring damnation to themselves not discerning the Lord’s body. The Holy Scriptures define those who have not been born again as being unworthy of eternal life and it is to those the Holy Scriptures are referring to as partaking in an unworthily manner.  This memorial meal is in memory of what Christ did on the cross and we reject the false teaching that it is a re sacrificing of Christ on the cross in an unbloody manner.Christ has offered up Himself once as a sacrifice for sins forever at Calvary and this is not to be repeated. To do so is a blasphemous act mocking the Atonement of Christ. This meal reminds us of what Christ has already done. We furthermore reject the doctrine of Transubstantiation as a heresy invented by the Papacy to bring people in bondage to Rome. This heresy teaches that when the bishoppronounces the words of consecration the elements of the bread and fruit of the vine literally change substance and the elements themselves become the real flesh and blood of Jesus Christ. Their false belief promotes a type of cannibalism whichviolates the clear teaching of the Holy Scriptures. This false teaching furtherpromotes an idolatrous view of the elements themselves erroneously teaching that they become Jesus Christ Himself. Christ never intended His supper be viewed in this type of way. We do believe however that the Holy Scriptures teach Christ becomes spiritually present in the elements when the words of consecration are said and while the meal is being served and those who partake receive a special blessing from the Lord but the elements themselves remain unchanged as to their substance and appearance when being received by the faithful. The elements to be used are unleavened bread and the pure fruit of the vine. (Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:14-20; 1 Corinthians 11:20-34; Acts 2:46; Acts 20:7; Acts 27:35; Luke 24:13-35; I Corinthians 10:16-21; Acts 13:46; Matthew 10:37-38; 2 Corinthians 13:5; Genesis 9:4; Deuteronomy 12:16, 23; Acts 15:20, 29;  Hebrews 9:12, 28; Hebrews 10:10,12,14; Hebrews 7:27; 1 Peter 3:18)

Foot washing

We believe the practice of foot washing is an ongoing ordinance of the church and was instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ the night before his crucifixion to be practiced as an act of obedience following His example given to us. We ought to wash one another’s feet as an act of humility toward one another. (John 13:4-17; 1 Timothy 5:10; Luke 7:37-50)

Creation

We believe in the literal story of creation as taught in Genesis and reject the allegorical approach taught by many today. We believe the days spoken of in the Holy Scriptures were literal twenty-four-hour periods and that Adam and Eve were real persons created by God and placed here to repopulate the earth. Because we take the Holy Scriptures literally, we reject the heretical teaching of Evolution as being utterly false and without any scientific basis. The Holy Scriptures clearly teach that God created the heaven and the earth in a literal seven-day period. (Genesis 1, Genesis 2, Mark 10:6, Mark 13:19, Romans 1, 2 Peter 3:3-4, John 1:1-5, Colossians 1:16-17)

Marriage

We believe in the Biblical teaching concerning marriage and that this union when entered into lawfully is both sacred and blessed by God Himself. The Holy Scriptures define marriage as the union between a man and a woman and it is for life. There are only four Scriptural reasons given by God that will dissolve this union. 1. Unfaithfulness. 2. Desertion by an unbelieving spouse. 3. The death of a spouse. 4. A Union that is unscriptural or unlawfully entered into. Once dissolved Scripturally the person(s) who has scriptural grounds may remarry but only in the Lord. Furthermore, due to the increased popularity and pressure to accept so called “gay” unions otherwise known as same sex marriages we deem it necessary to state here our official position as being in total rejection of these types of unions as not only being unbiblical but also being an outright abomination in the eyes of God Himself. Our ministers are strictly forbidden to perform ceremonies where these types of unions are being engaged in. Our ministers are also forbidden to join in marriage any person(s) practicing the transgender lifestyle. Any minister found to be doing so will immediately lose their license and be disfellowshipped.  Our Ministers are only allowed to perform ceremonies that are approved by King James Bible Church having the local bishop’s signature given. (Genesis 2:20-25, Matthew 19:3-9, Matthew 5:31-32, Mark 10:1-12, 1 Corinthians 7, Luke 16:18, Romans 7:1-3, Hebrews 13:4, Ephesians 5:22-33, Matthew 14:3-12, Mark 6:16-29, Luke 3:19-20, Genesis 6:1-13, Genesis 19, Jude 5-7, Luke 17:26-28, 2 Peter 2: 4-6)

New Testament Tithe and Giving

We believe in the Biblical practice of tithing and giving offerings to the work of God in the local church assembly. Because it was implemented and practiced before the Law it is still binding on New Testament saints to practice and to be faithful in. The purpose for giving the offerings and tithe is to support the ongoing work of the local church in its equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry and in helping the local church to accomplish its mission and outreach to the lost. You should only give your tithes to the local church where you are being spiritually feed at. The work of God one gives to should be doctrinally sound and spiritually strong and active. We encourage our members to be faithful in their giving to the work of God as the Lord provides in both tithes and offerings so this work can be accomplished. The tithe is defined scripturally as the first fruits of your increase and as such is a tenth of your total income. This should be given before anything else as an obedient act putting God first before all things in your finances. God promises when we do this, He will bless the other ninety percent we are allowed to keep. The offering on the other hand is any amount given above the tithe that one gives to the work of God. A Christian should always give according to Biblical principles and your giving should never be done under pressure or under compulsion. You should let your giving to the work of God be done cheerfully and only after presenting it to the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving. ( 1 Corinthians 9, 2 Corinthians 9, Luke 6:38, Philippians 4:10-20, Matthew 19:21, Proverbs 28:27, Proverbs 19:17, Proverbs 22:9, Ephesians 4:28, 1 Timothy 6:17-19, Genesis 28:22, Leviticus 27:30, Matthew 23:23, Proverbs 3:9, Romans 11:16, Galatians 6:6-10)

 Our Mission To The Poor

We believe that as New Testament Bible believers we are commanded to minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of the poor among us. This is a principle that is taught both in the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. This is only able to be done by the faithful giving and support of God’s people. We should always be ready to distribute! We should always be willing to give to those who are in need among us!

(Luke 18:22; 1 Timothy 6:17 – 19; Romans 12:13; Hebrews 6:10; 1 John 3:17; Deuteronomy 15:7 – 8; Acts 2:44 – 45; James 2:15 – 17; Acts 4:34 – 35; 2 Corinthians 9; James 2:1 – 10; Galatians 2:10; Romans 15:1, 25 – 29; John 12:8; Psalm 34:6; Psalm 82:3 – 4; Proverbs 14:21, 31; Proverbs 17:5; Proverbs 19:17; Proverbs 21:13; Proverbs 22:9, 22 – 23; Proverbs 28:8, 27; Proverbs 29:7; Proverbs 31:9, 20; Hebrews 13:16)

New Testament Separation

We believe in the New Testament doctrine of separation for Bible believers and nonconformity to the world. God commands us to separate ourselves from all forms of religious apostasy, heresy, ecumenism, secret societies and lodges where oaths have to be performed, swearing, foul and coarse language, jesting, any illicit drug use outside of its proper medical use with a doctors direction and care and any other sinful behaviorthat conflict with the word of God. Due to the increased apostasy within the charismatic movement, we encourage our members to be cautious concerning participation in churches associated with this movement. We are told to rebuke and reprove them with the word of God. Within the Charismatic movement there are many things taught that are anti scriptural including: the prosperity gospel movement (the name it and claim it/health and wealth gospel), the seeker sensitive movement, the Brownsville revival movement, the Kansas city prophets movement, the latter rain movement, grave soaking practice, the prophetic and tongues movement, and the new apostolic reformation movement. All sexual immorality is strictly forbidden and should not be once named among our members. This includes fornication, adultery, prostitution, homosexuality, pedophilia, rape, bestiality, transvestism, and any other form of perverted sexuality that does not conform to Biblical morality. Our church should take special precautions to protect our members from such sinful activities and should encourage our members to live holy lives in accordance with the Holy Scriptures. We can only do this through the power and help of the Holy Ghost with prayer and the word of God. We further encourage our members to dress in modest attire that conforms with the word of God. There should be a clear distinction between the sexes in both appearance and attire. Women are encouraged to wear their hair long and keep their heads covered (veiled) when praying or prophesying. Our men are encouraged to keep their hair short and wear a beard/ facial hair as a male sign of distinction. We as Bible believers take the Biblical and historic Anabaptist position that a Christian man who desires to follow our Lord Jesus Christ in all His ways should wear the traditional beard in order to make a natural outward biblical distinction between him and his female counterpart. This is the practice of the early Christians and should be ours as well. The practice of men shaving was introduced into the church by Rome in the third century and became a common practice among those Bishops who were influenced by philosophy and pagan traditions. Those who rejected the pagan influences of Rome maintained their beards and considered any male that shaved as being effeminate. In taking this stand we also recognize there may be those men who cannot naturally grow a beard but have a desire to follow the Lord in this area. We instruct them not to shave and keep in practice of naturally allowing the hair to grow. This same instruction is given to women who cannot naturally grow long hair. Our instruction in regard to these situations is for women to not purposefully cut their hair short and men not to purposefully shave their faces but rather allow them to grow naturally as the Lord intended. (Romans 12:1-2, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 1 John 2:15-17, 2 John 9-11, James 5:12, Matthew 5:33-37, 1 Corinthians 6:9-20, Galatians 5:16-21, 1 Corinthians 14, 2 Peter 2, 1 Timothy 4:1-11, 1 Corinthians 11:1-16, Leviticus 19:27, 1 Timothy 2:9-10, 2 Timothy 2:16-26, 1 Peter 3:1-6, Ephesians 4:29, Psalm 133:2, Isaiah 50:6, 2 Samuel 10:4-5)

Divine Healing

We believe the Holy Scriptures teach that through the physical suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ by being scourged and then crucified He purchased both our physical and spiritual healing. It is part of the atonement and as such is available to the child of God today. God Himself is the healer and we should trust God and God alone for healing. God does not always choose to heal miraculously or immediately. God sometimes chooses to heal by other means such as doctors and modern medicines. Whatever method God chooses we should trust Him and know that He ultimately is our healer. We should not be opposed to using these methods provided, they do not conflict with our biblically sound religious convictions. When they do conflict, we must conscientiously object to their use. Recent examples include the covid vaccine mandate due to its use of aborted fetal cells and the forced mask mandate due to the Biblical admonition that we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. In such cases we must stand up in opposition to them as commanded by the Lord in the Holy Scriptures. (Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24, James 5:14-16, Colossians 4:14, 2 Corinthians 3:18)

The Ministry and its Qualifications

We believe that the Lord has set in the body of Christ the permanent offices of the Bishop also called the Pastor(one who presides over the local assembly of believers), the Elder (a local minister who is under the leadership of the Pastor), The deacons (Those who are called to help the Pastor in his daily duties and tasks at the local assembly), and finally the Evangelist (one who is sent out from the local assembly under the direction of the Pastor and does evangelism work either locally or in the foreign field. Most missionaries will fit into this category). The office of the Apostle and the office of the Prophet were temporary offices that were set in the body at the beginning of the church and were given to lay the foundation of the church while the New Testament Canon was being completed. Once the New Testament Canon was completed these two offices ceased for they were no longer necessary. What has remained are the offices of Bishops, Elders, Deacons, and Evangelists/Missionaries. Our ministers in order to stay in good standing with the local church body are to conduct themselves in a worthy manner that is above reproach and abstain from all appearance of evil and any associations that could harm their testimony and walk with the Lord. Those men who feel a call to the ministry are encouraged after much prayer and seeking God to make their calling and election sure. They are then to make a formal request to the local assembly and pastor to enter into the ministry. After making a formal request to the local pastor to enter into the ministry the candidate will then go through a period of examination (usually 6 months and could be as long as up to one year) during which time the local pastor will groom and train the candidate to prepare to enter the ministry. Upon completion of the training period those candidates who have proven themselves to be faithful and worthy of their call will receive the appropriate credentials at a ceremony in the local assembly. These credentials will remain in force for one full year and will be reviewed and renewed once a year after that. The candidate must believe in, teach, and preach the King James Bible as God’s final authority and one must also adhere to and affirm the Articles of Faith of King James Bible Church. These credentials can be pulled at any time by the duly authorized authority (the local Pastor) as a result of moral failures, any heretical teachings promoted contrary to the Articles of Faith, as well as any other behavior deemed unfit that could bring a reproach to the ministry of the church. Furthermore, if upon the report of misconduct and after examination the minister is found to be guilty his credentials will be immediately revoked.  At that time the minister will no longer speak for nor represent the ministry of the church. He has lost all his authority as a minister of the gospel in good standing with the church. In special circumstances the minister who has lost his credentials can be after careful examination restored to their former status as a minister in good standing with the church. The minister must show that he is truly sorry for the wrong he has done and give evidence of genuine repentance before restoration can be considered. The restoration will be done at the discretion of the local pastor at which time the candidate will undergo any requirements mandated by the said pastor. There are three licenses implemented by King James Bible Church and recognized as ministerial credentials. They are:

1.     The Local License- These give the minister the opportunity to preach at the local meetings, assist in baptisms, and assist at Holy Communion.

2.     The General License-These give the minister the opportunity to preach at other recognized assemblies and gives him more authority in church related matters.

3.     The Ordination License- These give the minister the power to be able to perform marriages, perform funerals, perform baptisms, perform communion services as well as pastor and establish other churches.

Each of the above licenses will be accompanied with a current fellowship card and these licenses will be void without a current fellowship card signed by the pastor of the church and dated. All ministers in good standing with King James Bible Church shall be required to sign an annual affirmation statement affirming their belief in the inspiration and final authority of the King James Bible as well as affirm their commitment to adhere to the current Articles od Faith of King James Bible Church. Below are the qualifications one must meet in order to be a minister in good standing with King James Bible Church.

Bible Believers Creed of Faith

We believe and accept the following Biblically based creed as being orthodox in explaining the Faith once delivered and handed down to us by the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. This creed is to be recited during our liturgical services:

I believe in God the Father Almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth and in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son our Lord, The True God and the true Light Who was begotten not created being one with the Father and the Holy Ghost by Whom all things visible and invisible were created. For us sinners and for our salvation did the Lord come down from Heaven being conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary and was made flesh and walked among us sinners.  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, and died for our sins according to the Holy Scriptures and was buried and descended into Hell and on the third day He rose again from the dead for our justification according to the Holy Scriptures. He ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of God Almighty, making intercession for us and from thence He shall come again in glory to judge the living and the dead Whose Kingdom shall have no end. I believe in the Spirit of Truth, which is the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Giver of life, Who together with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, Who spoke in times past by holy men of God and now abides in us through the blood atonement of Jesus Christ. I believe all Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness and is to be studied and rightly divided as the Word of Truth. I believe in the Apostolic Church of the living God which he purchased with His own blood built upon Jesus Christ the Rock and being now bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. I believe in partaking of the holy communion of the body and Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. I believe in the fellowship and gathering of the local assembly of saints along with the bishops, elders, and deacons who watch after the flock. I believe redemption is through the blood of Jesus Christ even the forgiveness of sins. I believe in the resurrection of the body from the dead and life everlasting by trusting Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Membership

All those who wish to become members of King James Bible Church and receive the right hand of fellowship must first be born again according to the word of God and after that be baptized in obedience to the Holy Scriptures. In addition to this one must ascribe to the official Articles of Faith of the church and be in good standing with the local church. The candidate shall be presented before the local assembly for a vote and final approval shall be made from the local bishop of the church.

In Conclusion

While these are found to be detailed statements concerning the faith and Biblical doctrines, they are not however all encompassing. We as Bible believers first and foremost accept all that the Holy Scriptures say concerning sound doctrine and teaching and it is to that we must first go. These articles are only meant to be a basic outline of our beliefs and practices. One must go to the Holy Scriptures themselves to find a deeper and much more detailed explanation for any of the subjects we have discussed and listed here.

Adoption of the articles of faith

The above articles of faith have been officially approved and adopted by the leadership of King James Bible Church and are binding on its members. Any future changes or adaptations will be cause for an official amendment to the said articles and given final approval by the bishop and elders of the local assembly.
